My name is Victoria Salazar and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rider University. During my graduate studies I conducted qualitative research identifying protective factors that may prevent individuals from engaging in eating disorder symptoms.

I have been working in the mental health field for 10 years with experience in in-home therapy services, outpatient therapy services, hospital settings, college counseling centers, PHP/IOP programs for numerous psychiatric disorders and

PHP/IOP programs specializing in eating disorders. I believe the therapeutic relationship is built on collaboration and transparency. I encourage clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to identify cognitive and behavioral patterns that interfere with their well-being and productivity. When working with clients I adjust therapeutic modalities based on their individualized needs.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stressors, life transitions, mental health concerns, disordered eating patterns or an eating disorder, I look forward to working with you on your journey to embracing who you are!
